ALBERTVILLE, Ala. — An Albertville man was arrested Wednesday on several charges involving child pornography.

Shaun Derrick Watts, 49, was arrested Wednesday by the Albertville Police Department on one count of manufacturing child pornography and five charges of child pornography possession.

Albertville Police Chief Jamie Smith said they received a tip from the Internet Crimes Against Children task force in Montgomery and began investigating May 17. Detectives searched Watts’ home and took several computers that they said allegedly contained pictures of children.

None of the images police recovered are from anyone local, Smith said.

Watts was taken to the Marshall County Detention Center with a $35,000 cash bond.
