Changes coming to poll worker policies ahead of Tuesday municipal elections

Alabama News

Governor Kay Ivey has amended the state’s safer-at-home order to help make things easier for municipal elections next week.

The amendment allows municipalities the flexibility to recruit election workers from anywhere in the county or counties where the municipality is located.

The amendment also lets election worker training be conducted online or over the phone.

Municipal elections are set for Tuesday, August 25 statewide.
