MONTGOMERY, Ala. – Tuesday, the Alabama Ethics Commission said it will look into a complaint filed against Governor Robert Bentley and his senior political advisor Rebekah Caldwell Mason.
State Auditor Jim Zeigler requested the ethics investigation. He received a letter Tuesday from Ethics Commission attorney Hugh Evans, which said the complaint has been assigned case numbers, and a special agent will be assigned to the case soon.
The letter also asked Zeigler not to comment further on the matter.
