Accused Auburn Shooter in Court

AUBURN, Ala. (WNHT) — The man accused of opening fire at an off campus party near Auburn University in June, killing three young men is expected back in court Thursday.
Desmonte Leonard, 22,  is scheduled to appear at his final arraignment. Leonard has been indicted on six charges, including capital murder.  His attorney Susan James says Leonard plans to enter a not guilty plea.
Former Auburn football players, Ladarious Phillips and Ed Christian, and another man identified as Demario Pitts, died in the shooting on Saturday, June 9th. Three others were injured. Investigators from local, national and federal levels lead a man hunt for Leonard lasting two days, before Leonard finally turned himself in to authorities.
After his arraignment, Leonard`s next step is his trial.  The trial date has not yet been set.
