18-Wheeler Loses Scrap Metal Load in Fayetteville

FAYETTEVILLE, Tenn. (WHNT) – An 18-wheeler lost a large load of scrap metal on Monday afternoon in Fayetteville.

This happened on Highway 231, just north of Lincoln County High School.

The driver was headed north on 231 and his load shifted as he tried to turn left on Wilson Avenue.  The truck rolled on its side.

It appears the truck’s load shifted as the driver was turning.

WHNT News 19’s crew on the scene reports traffic is moving.

Crews are working to load all the scrap metal onto another vehicle.  A tow truck is coming to remove the truck on its side.
