Network Engineer

Business Area: Logistics Management

Security Clearance:  Ability to obtain and maintain a clearance

Travel: 10% Travel Required (Primarily Domestic)

CALIBRE is seeking a System Administrator to support the US Army LOGSA. The successful candidate will monitor and maintain the telecommunications infrastructure with the LIW, ILAP and forward architecture. Monitor LOGSA’s LIW and ILAP infrastructure using automated and manual processes. Develop technical recommendations for correction of problems resulting from hardware, software and/or communication failures, other data transfer problems and performance degradations. Maintain Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) certification for the LOGSA systems; test and install required and necessary security updates and configurations for all LIW/ILAP infrastructure. Assist in developing recommendations for “best fit” hardware/software upgrade and replacement options for LIW/ILAP life-cycle management requirements. Manage network configuration, deploy and maintain new or replacement hardware and software systems.
• Three to five years of IT systems maintenance and support experience.
•Experience with Windows operating systems and networking.
•Knowledgeable with routers, switches and firewalls.
•Experience with Citrix Presentation Server and XenApp.
•Experience with Army IT systems, particularly logistics systems is desired.
•Must be a strong communicator with good interpersonal skills.

• MSCA certification or better
•Security + certification
•Network + certification
•Work towards Cisco CCNA or CCNP
•Work towards Citrix CCA or CCEA

Desirable Certifications:
• Secret security clearance
•Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE)
•CISSP – Certified Information System Security Professional

Minimum Level of Education:

(Other education, commensurate experience and demonstrated ability of individual may be substituted.)

BA/BS degree in Management Information Systems (MIS) or Computer Information Systems (CIS) from an accredited college/university or other education, commensurate experience and demonstrated ability of individual may be substituted; pursuing professional certification where appropriate.
