The Sales Consultant is an important member of the Shionogi Sales Team. The Sales Consultant is responsible to maximize the sales opportunity for Shionogi’s products and services in a clinical and specialized environment. This is accomplished through the ethical promotion of products to physicians, nurses, hospitals, and pharmacies, as well as other designated health care customers. This position will utilize the latest technologies and will require demonstrated clinical and medical knowledge to successfully penetrate the market.


•Develop and implement plan of action for targeted health care professionals, including physicians and their staff, local, regional and national KOLs, select institutions based on identified Shionogi Brand business opportunity and pharmacies.
•Utilize product knowledge and selling skills to Promote products and services ethically to targeted health care professionals. Requires the ability to work in a highly clinical environment and share appropriate and approved medical information to target audience.
•Analyze territory information to optimize calls provide input regarding the execution of tactical plan to supervisor (district manager).
•Executes brand strategies to ensure a consistent message.


•BA/BS degree required; Biology/Chemistry/Nursing Degree preferred
•Must possess a valid US driver’s license and driving history must meet Company requirements
•Must live within the territory boundaries
•Previous sales experience preferred demonstrating strong selling skills and results
•Strong clinical knowledge in area of promotion
•Demonstrated customer service skills and business analytics proficiency
•Experience and skill using computers and related technology for data input and understanding
•Excellent understanding of/response to the changing pharmaceutical environment
