The world’s biggest space celebration takes place this month!

World Space Week is celebrated on October 4-10, according to the World Space Week website. The dates commemorate the launch of earth’s first human-made satellite, Sputnik I, on October 4, 1957, and the signing of the Outer Space Treaty on October 10, 1967.

This year’s theme is “Satellites Improve Life.”
