United Way of Madison County presents “United Way Squared”, a community block party on the square in downtown Huntsville, on Saturday, May 14, from 10AM-1PM. Featuring live music, family activities, food trucks, and more, this free event is open to everyone in our community to find a connection to give, advocate, or volunteer in the area they passionate about.

Volunteers are needed to help with the setup, operation, and tear down of the event. There are two shifts: 9:30am-11:30am and  11:30am -1:30pm. Tasks range from event information, to crowd management, to assisting with agency booths, to kids’ activities and merchandise booths, there’s something for everyone! Volunteers are asked to arrive 10-15 minutes before shift and sign in at the United Way Information Booth on the north side of the square.  Youth and large groups are welcome, but we ask that students ages 14 and under to have adult supervision. The event is outdoors, so volunteers need to dress comfortably and prepare to be out in the sun. Each volunteer will receive an event t-shirt to wear for the event and take home!
