Babies in the Tennessee Valley need our help. You can take action on their behalf and have some fun. Host a diaper shower and donate the diapers to the Great Diaper Drive on September 29! What’s that you say? Diaper Showers are a lot of work! Au contraire, our downloadable invitations, customizable poster, and social media evites for Twitter, Facebook & Instagram make it easy.

There are plenty of fun ideas – we’ve even created a Diaper Shower board on Pinterest!  You’ll find games, recipes and decorations for almost any setting. So who do you invite? Where do you have it? Almost any place is a good place to take action for babies; work, church, girls night, boys night, host a cookout in the neighborhood. Just make sure everyone bring diapers and wipes.

If you’re not into planning or you’re a bit of a procrastinator, why not host a pop-up shower at work? Make sure you clear it with your boss first! While you’re talking to the decision maker, ask if the company will match your donation. A pop-up shower is easy breezy. Just ask everyone to pitch in their coffee/lunch money. You can drop it all off at The Great Diaper Drive “Blitz Day” on Thursday, September 29th at the Walmart on 8650 Madison Blvd. in Madison!

Get the word out about your shower without paying a penny. Use social media including your church, community or favorite group’s Facebook pages.

Not really into showers? We get it — they can be a lot of work. Here’s some fun ideas to help raise funds for the Great Diaper Drive:

  • Bake sale – who can pass up a cupcake? Most of us in the newsroom can’t.
  • Lemonade stand – put your kiddos to work.
  • Loose change round-up – there’s change everywhere, in your car, sofa, laundry room. Round it up and challenge your friends and coworkers to do the same. It really adds up especially when you think the average diaper costs around 25 cents. Put it in a jar to donate to the Great Diaper Drive.
  • Donate your height in diapers and challenge your friends to do the same. We hope you have tall friends!

Last but not least, tell us what you’re doing. We love to share your good works. Make sure to send a picture or two too — email it to or Tweet us @whnt.
