The Great Diaper Drive 2016 “Blitz Day” has wrapped up… with amazing results for local babies in the Tennessee Valley.

Viewers and community partners donated an incredible 100,376 diapers and wipes! That smashes the goal for this year; which was 90,000 diapers and wipes. It also sets a new record for the campaign.

WHNT News 19 has been partnering with Rocket City Mom for an annual collection of diapers and wipes for Tennessee Valley children, for several years now.  This year, donations will benefit the newly-established Diaper Bank at the Food Bank of North Alabama and the North Alabama Cloth Diaper Bank.

It’s not too late to donate, if you missed the “Blitz Day” fun. You can still give (disposable or cloth) at any of these Walmart locations through Friday, Sept. 30th. You can also click here to make a secure online donation!

Thank you to EVERYONE who has helped to make this year’s drive an incredible success, from our community sponsors Woody Anderson Ford and AFS, to Walmart, to each and every one of the incredible people who donated their time, diapers and wipes or money.
