(WHNT) - With Tennessee schools starting back to class the first week of August, our first backpacks went out the door this past weekend.

We spent the weekend delivering those school supplies.  With 304 backpacks for nine counties across northwest Tennessee, foster kids there now are ready for school.

We've spent the last week assembling school supplies.  Our amazing volunteers who gave their time, filled every bag.  They worked so hard and were able to catch us up.

We are waiting for more supplies to come in.  That's where you can help.

Local Jack's and Wal-Mart locations are collecting supplies for our pack the back pack drive.  The items we need the most, crayons, colored pencils, markers, binders, and backpacks

25 dollars is all it takes to sponsor a back pack full of school supplies for a child in foster care.
