HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) – Your treasured family photographs can help history bloom in downtown Huntsville.

Huntsville-Madison County Public Library has a pretty cool project going on, but they need your help to pull it off.

Bring your photos to the library during free public scan days and these historic images could become part of a large tiled bench, one of the city`s major public art projects. The bench was designed by an artist in Cleveland, Ohio.

Free public scan dates are scheduled for Apr 20 and May 18 from 9 a.m. to noon, or you can make an individual appointment.
