(WHNT) - Mums are a staple for the fall.  Jeff Bennett of Bennett Nurseries has a few tips on which ones are good for planting.

Mums are photosensitive, he says.  They tend to flower when the day length is shorter, and the night time is longer.

Two common types are Belgian mums and Garden mums.  These are both good to plant.  Mums are considered perennial, so if you plant them in good soil, they should come back next year.
