    ARDMORE, Ala. (WHNT) – Drivers may be rerouted and face delays after an 18 wheeler overturns on I-65 south early Monday morning.  Emergency crews responded to the wreck around 2:00 a.m. at mile marker 366 near the Tennessee state line. According to officers, the 18 wheeler overturned blocking all south bound lanes on I-65. Emergency Crews found the driver lying in the road. MedFlight airlifted him to Huntsville Hospital in critical condition. No other vehicles were involved in the wreck. […]

    LIMESTONE COUNTY, Ala. (WHNT) – A Limestone County family is lucky to be alive after a fire rips through their home. Fire crews were called to Kings Mobile Home Park on Airfield Road in Piney Chapel around 10:30 p.m. Thursday. When they arrived, firefighters found a mobile home engulfed in flames.   • Apartment Fire in Decatur Displaces Entire Building

    DECATUR, Ala. (WHNT) – A fire that began in an apartment kitchen has displaced the entire building. Decatur Fire and Rescue responded to a call shortly after 11:30 p.m. Thursday. When they arrived, firefighters found flames shooting from the roof of an upstairs apartment. The residents say their gas stove caught fire and they were unable to put it out.   • Search Continues for Escaped Teens

    MADISON, Ala. (WHNT) — Madison police are still searching for two male 16 year olds who escaped from Three Springs youth detention facility around 9:00 a.m. Tuesday morning. Police spent Tuesday searching a wooded area off of Grove Park Lane and Grove Village Way. A K-9 unit and a helicopter were called in to help with the effort.   • Man Injured in Single Vehicle Wreck

    HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) — A man is in serious condition after a single vehicle wreck in Huntsville. According to police, the driver of a Hyundai Sonata was traveling west down Governors Drive when he left the road and flipped the vehicle on its side.   • Burglar Hits Huntsville Compounding Pharmacy

    HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) — The week started out costly for owners of a Huntsville pharmacy. Police say the alarm at Huntsville Compounding Pharmacy on Whitesburg Drive went off just before 1:00 a.m. When officers got to the scene, they found someone had thrown a large rock through the glass front door. The rock destroyed the door and damaged some display cases on the inside of the store. Police are still investigating. They haven’t made any arrests yet.

  • Accused Auburn Shooter in Court

    AUBURN, Ala. (WNHT) — The man accused of opening fire at an off campus party near Auburn University in June, killing three young men is expected back in court Thursday.Desmonte Leonard, 22,  is scheduled to appear at his final arraignment.     HARTSELLE, Ala. (WHNT)— Two people are injured in after a single vehicle accident in Morgan County.   • High Speed Chase Through Hartselle Ends in Priceville

    A high speed chase that began in Hartselle Thursday night ended in Priceville with the suspects crashing their car. The chase began just before 10 p.m. Thursday when a Hartselle police officer tried to pull the vehicle over. The car then took off heading toward I-65.
