Jasmine Redus joined WHNT News 19 in December 2014 as a Production Assistant. She worked her way up from editor, to now producing the 6 am Morning News hour. Born and raised in Huntsville, she is a native of the Tennessee Valley.

Jasmine has a Bachelor’s degree in Mass Communication from The University of North Alabama. While in school, she worked for Good Day UNA as one of the show’s anchors. She was also a member of the National Broadcasting Society and the Xi Phi Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated.

In her spare time, Jasmine likes to spend time with family and friends. Her hobbies include finding recipes on Tasty’s Facebook page, going to concerts and traveling.

    Associated Press — Hurricane Franklin has made landfall on the coast of Mexico.
