Erin Dunbar joined the WHNT News 19 team in August 2018 as a Multimedia Production Assistant. In November 2018, she was promoted to Interactive Content Producer and has been providing social media updates and web stories to the Tennessee Valley ever since.
Born in Michigan, Erin grew up in the Quilt Capital of the World, Paducah, Kentucky and has called north Alabama home for 9 years. Erin graduated from the University of Alabama in Huntsville and has been pursuing a career in Journalism since 2017.
In her free time, Erin enjoys playing with her Anatolian Shepherd, hiking, traveling, and checking out local craft brews.

MADISON, Ala. – Community members got together on Thursday to pack special sensory kits for area 1st response agencies. According to a Facebook post by Madison City Schools, area emergency responders met at Rainbow Elementary to pack ‘de-escalation kits’. Thanks to a $70,441 grant from PetSmart Charities, the Foundation’s Canines for Coping program is adding a second facility dog to serve patients at Huntsville Hospital for Women & Children.
