Lynsey Smith joined WHNT News 19 in June 2022 as an MMJ/Reporter.
Smith was born in New Orleans, Louisiana but grew up in Birmingham, Alabama.
She graduated from Troy University in May 2018 with a degree in Broadcast Journalism and a minor in Public Relations.
After graduation, Lynsey worked as an MMJ/Reporter in Dothan, AL for a year. She spent the last three years reporting in Albany, NY.
Lynsey is an Alabama fan and loves to catch the games at local bars/eateries.
When she’s not working, you can find Lynsey spending time with her dog – Mookie, finding the best shopping deals, staying active, trying out new restaurants, and spending time with friends and family.
