Lauren is a Huntsville native thrilled to be home covering news for the people of the Tennessee Valley.
Before joining the News 19 team as a reporter, she was living in New York City working towards her Master’s in News and Documentary from NYU. While living in the city, she interned for ABC News ‘Nightline’ and NY1.
She graduated from the University of Mississippi (Hotty Toddy!) with a BA in broadcast journalism and a double minor in history and psychology. Saturdays in the grove are some of her fondest memories! She also began her journalism journey working at the campus news station all four years of her college career.
When she’s not at work, she’s either grabbing food at her favorite local restaurants or she’s at her parents’ house, trying to make her three dogs love her again after leaving them for six years.
