Justin Barr left News 19 in 2021.
Justin joined the WHNT team in December 2015. He started as the producer of the 10pm newscast before moving to the role of Executive Producer in August 2016.
Justin began his news career in Paducah, Kentucky as a photojournalist in 2005 before moving to newscast producer. He’s also worked in newsrooms in Nashville, Tampa and Atlanta. That includes time at The Weather Channel where he covered Hurricane Isaac, Superstorm Sandy, multiple severe weather outbreaks and dozens of winter storms.
In his spare time Justin enjoys exploring the natural beauty of North Alabama by hitting the area hiking trails. He also enjoys craft beer and learning more about all of the history and features that make this area so special.
