Deidra Brisco is a Reporter/MMJ with News 19. She started in October 2022. She is a proud native of Brooklyn, New York with family in Greensboro and Birmingham Alabama. Deidra’s childhood passion was Psychology but it was a college guidance counselor who saw she had a knack for Journalism. Deidra graduated from Brooklyn College with her Bachelors of Arts in Broadcast Journalism and Marketing. Deidra has worked behind the scenes for prominent programming like PBS- Metro Focus, CNN International, ESPN and WJTV in Jackson, Mississippi, as a Reporter and fill-in Weekend Morning News Anchor.
Deidra says her favorite part of the job is meeting people. She says she has always had a passion for people and working with the community. In her off time she enjoys speaking to children and helping the elderly. In her spare time Deidra hopes to use her passion for people to help others grow. If she is not somewhere helping others, she enjoys exploring new places. You can always find her in high spirits and full of laughter.
