
Darryl Burke joined the WHNT News 19 team in February of 2023 as a Multimedia Journalist.
He comes from the sunshine state of Florida where he was born and raised in Delray Beach. Darryl, on an academic scholarship attended college at Florida Atlantic University (FAU), where he received his Bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Journalism.
During his time in college, he served as an editor for the university newspaper, hosted a weekly newscast known as the South Florida Journal, and anchored his college news segment, FAU Today.
As a sophomore, he began interning with ESPN 106.3 in West Palm Beach, Florida. By his senior year, he was a part-time reporter covering sports for ESPN 106.3 on WPTV and WFLX.
During his free time, he loves watching his favorite sports teams. Darryl as a born and bred Floridian, is a fan of the Miami Heat, Miami Dolphins, Miami Hurricanes, and Florida Panthers.
