Claudia joined the WHNT News 19 team in June 2022 as the weekend sports anchor and reporter. Claudia comes to Huntsville after nearly four years in the same role in Duluth, Minnesota, and is very excited to be back in some warmer temperatures!
Claudia was born and raised in New Jersey and is a true Jersey girl, but does have plenty of ties to the southeast. Claudia moved to South Carolina for high school and then attended the University of South Carolina. She became a huge Gamecocks fan and had the opportunity to cover the SEC across all sports. That’s where she saw how passionate college sports fans are, especially football, in the SEC and is excited to experience that again!
In her spare time, Claudia loves watching and attending sports events, and is especially excited to get out to some Trash Pandas and Havoc games! She also enjoys hanging out with friends, going on hikes and working out. In fact, she was a part-time kickboxing trainer while in Minnesota!
Claudia loves meeting new people so if you see her, stop and say hi! Claudia is excited to connect with the Tennessee Valley community and is always looking for recommendations of places to explore and local restaurants to try.
