One arrested after Saturday night armed robbery at Marco’s Pizza

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – One person was arrested after an armed robbery in Huntsville.

Huntsville police arrested Bryan Stewart, 20, for the robbery at Marco’s Pizza on Bob Wallace Avenue just before 11 p.m. Saturday.

Stewart, who police said matched the robber’s description given by the 911 caller, was found west of the business. Police said they chased him on foot until they took him into custody at the Miracle League’s Johnny Franklin Field near Newby Road.

After taking Stewart into custody, police said they found a bag of money and a firearm nearby. They also said he confessed to robbing the business at gunpoint.

Police said Stewart may have been an employee of the business at the time of the robbery.
