Storms rumble through Tuesday night and Wednesday morning

The risk of severe storms diminishes across North Alabama and Southern Tennessee this evening; however, some general, non-severe thunderstorms with lightning and locally-heavy rainfall remain possible through 3 AM Wednesday.  After that, the humidity begins to drop!  It won’t be quite as brutally hot on Wednesday: highs in the lower 90s, heat index up to 97ºF (instead of 112ºF like Tuesday).
