Police identify 19-year-old killed by RV in Limestone County

DECATUR, Ala. – A 19-year-old was struck and killed by an RV Saturday night in Decatur, according to Limestone County Coroner Mike West.

On Monday morning, Decatur police identified the man killed as William Glen-Austin Stout of Decatur.

Police received a call from the RV driver around 9:30 p.m. saying he hit “something” going north on U.S. Highway 31. Officers found the driver parked on the side of Highway 20 and said they found evidence that it may have hit a person.

After a search, Stout’s body was found on the bank of the Tennessee River. West said he was knocked over the rail and onto the bank of the river.

Police said the driver of the RV is from Fayetteville, Tenn. His name wasn’t released.

Decatur police are leading the investigation.
