Suspect in Limestone County domestic hit-and-run incident in custody
LIMESTONE COUNTY, Ala. — A man wanted in connection to a domestic hit-and-run incident is in custody in the Madison County Jail on another warrant for a probation violation.
The Limestone County Sheriff’s Office confirms when Loyd Heflin bonds out of MCJ he will be immediately transported to Limestone County to face charges.
Authorities say a woman was hit by a vehicle at a mobile home park on Jennings Chapel Road Tuesday afternoon. The male driver left the scene in a blue Dodge minivan, according to the LCSO. Investigators believe that Loyd Leon Heflin, 47, was the driver. They have a warrant for Heflin’s arrest for first-degree domestic violence assault.
Emergency crews took the woman to the hospital where she remains in stable condition.
