MADISON COUNTY, Ala. — Madison County deputies are investigating what they’re calling a ‘cutting’ in Toney that left one man hospitalized.

The incident happened Saturday night on the 400th block of Mount Lebanon Rd. according to authorities. Officials say several people were watching sports when they got into an altercation.

Authorities say the man was stabbed three times in the stomach area and while the injuries did not appear to be life-threatening, he was taken to the hospital. The sheriff’s office says all of the people involved including the victim were uncooperative in giving officials information.

The incident is still under investigation.
