HUNTSVILLE, Ala. —  The results are in from a survey conducted by AL.com to find out what the state’s biggest problem is.

Along with the help of the Public Affairs Research Council of Alabama, the news outlet comprised a list of major topics they believe are key issues residents face.

The topics of concern are (in no particular order):

  • Mental health and substance abuse
  • Confederate monuments
  • Government corruption and ethics
  • Jobs training and workforce development
  • School safety
  • Healthcare
  • Opioids
  • K-12 education
  • Marijuana usage
  • Asset forfeiture
  • Poverty and homelessness
  • Tax reform
  • 3D guns
  • Lottery and sports betting
  • Alabama’s image
  • Crime and public safety
  • Jobs and the economy

The top spot went to government corruption and ethics with 14.14-percent of the vote. You can see where all the issues ranked here.
