Guntersville woman killed in morning wreck

GUNTERSVILLE, Ala. —¬†Guntersville Fire and Rescue confirmed a person died in a single vehicle crash on Georgia Mountain Road Friday morning.

Alabama State Troopers said Mylinda Whitlock Cooper, 52, was killed when her vehicle ran off the road and hit a utility pole around 8:30 a.m.

Cooper was pronounced dead at the scene.

Troopers are still investigating to determine the cause of the wreck.
