HUNTSVILLE, Ala. -- Most everyone agrees. Alabama needs to spend money on building new roads and bridges and repairing old ones. The problem is, there isn't enough cash on hand, and the only way to get it would appear to be raising the tax paid on gasoline.

The victory for U.S. Senate by Democrat Doug Jones has the state's Democratic party excited about the possibilities to win other elections. We discussed that with WHNT News 19 political analyst Jess Brown.
