School Closings and Business Delays for Friday, Dec. 8

Here is a list of closings that have come into our newsroom for Friday, December 8. We will update this list as more school systems, large businesses and public agencies notify us of schedule changes.

The Fort Payne Christmas Parade has been canceled for tonight. It will now happen on December 15, which is next Friday, at 6:00 p.m.

SCHOOLS

  • Albertville City Schools – CLOSING AT 12:00 p.m.
  • Arab City Schools – CLOSING AT 12:15 p.m.
  • Boaz City Schools – CLOSING AT 11:00 a.m.
  • Cornerstone Christian Academy in Rainsville – CLOSED
  • Cullman City Schools – CLOSING AT NOON
  • Cullman County Schools – CLOSING AT 10:30 a.m.
  • DeKalb County Schools – CLOSED
  • Fort Payne City Schools – CLOSED
  • Guntersville City Schools – CLOSING AT NOON
  • Jackson County Schools – CLOSING AT NOON, SATURDAY SCHOOL ALSO CANCELED
  • Jacksonville High School – CLOSED
  • Kitty Stone Elementary – CLOSED
  • Marshall County Schools – CLOSING AT 10:45 a.m.
  •  Snead State Community College – CLOSING AT 1:00 p.m., The ACT exam scheduled for Saturday, Dec. 9, is still scheduled to be held as planned.
  • Wallace State Community College – CLOSING AT 11:00 a.m.

BUSINESSES

  • DeKalb County Government Offices – CLOSING AT 11:00 a.m.
  • Tyson Food in Albertville – 2nd and 3rd shift WILL NOT RUN
