Motorcyclist killed in wreck on Triana Boulevard in Huntsville

CORRECTION: WHNT News 19 previously reported that investigators at the scene believed the motorcyclist’s speed to be a factor. Police have since confirmed to us that they do NOT believe his speed was a factor in the crash. 

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – Huntsville Police confirm the motorcyclist involved in a wreck with a van Friday morning has died.  The crash happened on Triana Boulevard at Village Drive around 5:00 a.m.

Officers were called to the area to find a wreck involving a mini-van and a motorcycle. They say the driver of the motorcycle was in the middle of the road, and bystanders were performing CPR. Paramedics rushed him to Huntsville Hospital.  The victim was later identified as Ronald Creech, 33, of Toney.

The driver of the van was not hurt in the incident.
