Eclipse watchers turn out in droves on Mentone Mountain

DEKALB COUNTY, Ala. -  The Great American Eclipse had people travelling all over to experience the best view on August 21.

One of the most popular places to watch the eclipse here in the Valley was in the mountain town of Mentone. They experienced 98% totality there.

Photojournalist Shane Hayes was there to capture the sights and sounds as people gathered to watch.
