MARSHALL COUNTY, Ala. – Guntersville firefighters and Alabama State Troopers are on the scene of an overturned truck on Warrenton Road in Guntersville. The road is shut down.

Authorities say the driver of the truck had to be airlifted to the hospital.

Authorities with Guntersville Fire and Rescue and Marshall County EMA say the large truck, owned by Austin Powder, was carrying ammonium nitrate and other chemicals.

Some of those chemicals, and a small amount of fuel, leaked.

Marshall County EMA says there is no concern for the public as it relates to the chemicals.

The truck is the only vehicle involved. The driver was airlifted to the hospital in an unknown condition.

Traffic is being rerouted.
