Senate Judiciary Committee confirms Sessions for Attorney General

Sen. Jeff Sessions (R-Alabama)

WASHINGTON D.C. – This morning, the Senate Judiciary Committee confirmed Senator Jeff Sessions for U.S. Attorney General.

This will now go to the full Senate, where Sessions is expected to be confirmed.

Once that happens, Alabama Governor Robert Bentley would name someone to finish the remainder of Session’s term in the U.S. Senate.
