Morgan County pharmacy owner arrested on DUI charges

HARTSELLE, Ala. - Police arrested a pharmacy owner in Morgan County on DUI and drug-related charges.

WHNT News 19 has learned that Hartselle Police arrested Jason Glen Spencer Sunday night.

Police say Spencer is charged with DUI and drug possession. Spencer is well known around Morgan County because he owns Quality Discount Drugs in Eva.

Hartselle officers say they had three separate citizens call dispatch to report his driving.

The Morgan County Drug Task Force is taking over the investigation.

The Pharmacy Board of Alabama is also performing an investigation. Spencer has had a license in Alabama since 2006. His license is set to expire on the 31st of December. He is not currently practicing.

This is not Spencer's first DUI. According to the Madison County Jail log, he was arrested in September of 2016 for a DUI.
