ROSALIE, Ala. – The Jackson County Coroner says three people died and several others were injured when strong storms moved through the Rosalie community late Tuesday night and early Wednesday morning.

Winds were strong enough to rip off roofs and throw cars around.  Buildings and homes along Highway 71 were destroyed.

There’s no word yet on the number of people who were hurt.

The Rosalie Rescue Squad also says supplies are needed, including tarps, nails, hammers, 1x6s, water and sports drinks and soup/chili. You can bring items to the Rosalie Rescue Squad building on Highway 71, across from Rosalie Plaza.

However, you’re asked not to go to the area just to survey damage.
