Many parents are looking for toys this holiday season that well, aren’t JUST toys.

That’s where Purdue’s INSPIRE Research Institute can help. The group’s engineers publish an annual Engineering Gift Guide, showcasing products that best promote STEM (science, technology, education and math) education. This year’s list features more than 100 items; encouraging everything from coding to critical thinking.

Monica Cardella, Purdue’s INSPIRE Research Institute Director,  said the idea for the list came from her own struggles finding toys that would teach STEM for her kids.

“With so many options, I wanted to be able to choose something that had some educational value. Something that would last beyond just a single session of play.”
