LSU expected to hire Ed Orgeron as head coach

BATON ROUGE, La. – LSU has scheduled a press conference today at 12:00 PM CT to announce its new head coach.

Reports have surfaced that LSU has selected Ed Orgeron as the new head coach, and have finalized his contract as of this morning. Orgeron reportedly has substantial plans to improve LSU’s team during his tenure, which impressed top officials and led to his selection as head coach. Reports indicate his contract has been finalized as of this morning.

Orgeron has been serving as the interim head coach since September 25, 2016, previously serving as the LSU defensive line coach. His record is 5-2 after replacing his successor Les Miles.
