SCOTTSBORO, Ala. -  Scottsboro Tackle Company was one of the first businesses in Downtown Scottsboro to open this Friday.

"We opened up this morning at 4:30 just on a request from a customer that was coming down to actually fish for a Black Friday tournament in Water Front," says owner Tim Evans.

Black Friday is the second most important day of the year for them.  "Our business is generally the best from January to June, and then it starts tapering off.   This is the cap of the year for us."

As the winter months and hunting season approach, this is the store's last chance before the New Year to receive as much financial gain as they can.

"It's a big day for us to kind of take in and get what we can get out of the market as far as money wise and the people spending that are shopping," says Tim.  "And actually taking that and seeing what we need to do for the coming year."

With Scottsboro Tackle Company being a small, local store; they need as much business as they can.

"We're going to stay here until actually the last customer is served. We're actually saying we're going to be open until six, but you know if there's still people coming in we'll be here until the end."
