MADISON COUNTY, Ala. – A Hazel Green man lost his home to fire overnight.  Around 1:30 a.m. firefighters were called to West Limestone Road for a report of a duplex fire.

Crews arrived and found the bedroom on fire.  They put it out within 20 minutes, quickly enough to keep it from spreading to the rest of the structure.

Volunteers from Hazel Green, Meridianville, and Bobo worked to get the fire out.

The bedroom has heavy damage, and the rest of the home has smoke and heat damage.  No one was injured.

Investigators are working to determine a cause.
