HUNTSVILLE, Ala.-- Ed's Shoe Repair Shop closed their business with no explanation about three months ago. But, customers still had items in the shop. There were numbers left on the door for customers to call, but despite reaching out many times the customers still have no answers.

Glennis Coats had been a long time customer of Ed's Shoe Repair Shop. She said she's surprised they closed down with no explanation.

"I've tried to get in touch with the shop here several, several times, and I haven't been able to get in touch with anyone," she said.

Coats said she had tried calling the numbers that were left but no one has ever returned her messages. She doesn't know what else to do.

"I also would call the office here, the central office, and leave messages but no one would never, ever, call me back," said Coats.

Coats said she's gone to other local shoe repair stores and asked if they were getting Ed's customers.

"They said yes, people have been you know complaining about they have items that were left there too, and you know they didn't know how to get in touch with  Ed's," she said.

Coats herself had six items that were still in the store, some of them she's never even worn before.

"If the repairs have not been done on the items, that's fine, I just want my items back," she said.

She hopes to get in touch with someone about the whereabouts of the owner, or her items, soon.

WHNT News 19 also reached out the business complex, but did not get a response.
