HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – Huntsville police have made an arrest in connection to a shooting that occurred this morning at a convenience store on Governors Drive.

Police responded to the Wavaho shortly before 9 a.m. this morning to a report of a fight and shots fired in the parking lot.

When officers arrived, the two men involved had already fled the area.  Officers recovered two .25 caliber pistols at the scene.

Authorities say approximately thirty minutes later a gunshot victim arrived at the Huntsville Hospital Emergency Room with a non-life-threatening leg wound.

Around 10 a.m., police say 25-year-old Carthell Mosley of Huntsville returned to the store where he was taken into custody.

Investigators determined that the two men were involved in a fight and Mosley shot the victim in the leg.

Mosley has been charged with assault and certain persons forbidden to posses a firearm.  Mosley is being held in the Madison County Jail.
