Foster, Allen finalists for national defensive player of the year award

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. (AL.com)- Alabama's done pretty well on the award circuit recently. One, however, has remained elusive.

Of the five finalists announced Thursday for the Bronko Nagurski Award, two play for the Crimson Tide. Both Reuben Foster and Jonathan Allen made the final cut for the honor going to the nation's top defensive player.

The other finalists include Florida State defensive back Tarvarus McFadden, Michigan defensive back Jabrill Peppers and Clemson defensive tackle Christian Wilkins.
