KNOXVILLE, Tenn. ( - By the time Tennessee takes the field Saturday against Missouri, the Volunteers could have a pretty good idea of whether or not they are still alive for the SEC East Division championship.

Florida plays LSU at noon Saturday in Baton Rouge, some 2 ½ hours before the Volunteers meet the Tigers in Knoxville. The Gators can wrap up the SEC East with a victory over the Tigers.

Should Florida (7-3, 5-2 SEC) lose to LSU, Tennessee (7-3, 3-3) could win the East and earn its first SEC championship game berth since 2007 by beating Missouri on Saturday and Vanderbilt next week. The Volunteers hold the division tiebreaker by virtue of a 38-28 win over the Gators in September.
