The historic Donnell House, built in 1845 and located at 601 ½ Clinton Street in Athens, is hosting the annual Christmas Festival of Trees. The Donnell House is one of very few houses left after the sack of Athens by Union soldiers during the Civil War. Athens Middle School is built around the House and it can be seen from the street. The Candlelight Preview Party, with wine and wonderful food, will be held Thursday, November 17 at 4 p.m. and again at 6 p.m. at $30 per person. Everyone is welcome.

Tour dates to see the beautifully decorated trees thru-out the house are November 18th through November 27th from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Special Saturday and Sunday hours (November 19, 20, 26, and 27) are 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. Tours are $5 per person. All proceeds from the Candlelight Preview Party and tours to see the Christmas Festival of Trees go toward the upkeep and renovations of the Historic Donnell House.
