Kyle Jennings turned himself in to police following a Sunday shooting on Bonnell Drive in Huntsville

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. — The Huntsville Police Department has charged Kyle Jennings, 43, of Huntsville for a shooting on Bonnell Drive on Sunday.

According to Huntsville Police, three people were exiting Hillside Village Apartments when an individual walked up to their vehicle and started shooting. Two passengers were able to get away unharmed. The third passenger was shot in the leg and taken to the hospital.

Officers were called to Huntsville Hospital after the gunshot victim arrived to the Emergency Room around 3:30 p.m. He had a minor injury to his leg after being shot.

Jennings turned himself in Sunday night and was charged with second degree assault and discharging a firearm into an occupied vehicle.
