Superintendent addresses shooting threat made at Brewer High

MORGAN COUNTY, Ala. – Parents and students are concerned about threatening message written in a bathroom stall that indicated there will possibly be a shooting at Brewer High School on Thursday.

Superintendent Bill Hopkins says that the Morgan County Schools are aware of the threat and they are working closely with the Morgan County Sheriff’s Office to monitor the situation.

At this time, authorities do not believe that the threat is credible, however they will have extra security in place on the campus as a precaution.
