BIRMINGHAM, Ala. ( - If at first you don’t succeed, try, try, try and try again.

At least that’s how Madison Academycaptured its first state volleyball championship since 2004.

After falling in the Class 3A final to Bayside Academy in 2013, 2014 and 2015, the Mustangs (45-20) moved up to 4A this season and earned a 27-25, 25-20, 25-21 victory over St. James in today’s championship match at Birmingham’s Bill Harris Arena.
